Most Karen people work in agricutlure, either as farmers or labourers.

The KNU Agriculture Department is assisting farmers in improving agricultural productivity while protecting the environment, also provides training on protecting land rights.

The Karen people have faced a brutal military offensive for more than 60 years. The Karen National Liberation Army and the Karen National Defense Organisation protect the Karen people, saving lives every day.
